Typical Progression of Liver Disease

Hepatitis

Early stage symptoms are often mild and may feel like a common cold or a flu. Symptoms of liver disease may be acute (occur suddenly), or chronic (develop slowly over a long period of time).

The liver can regenerate its own damaged cells, but it has a limit. Often, symptoms of liver disease will not appear until a severe stage of liver damage.
