Salt-Free Cajun Turkey

Ingredients:

  • 12 lb fresh turkey
  • ¼ cup avocado oil
  • Rub:
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ¼ cup chili powder
  • ½ cup paprika
  • Preparation time: 2 hours, 15 minutes

    Size: 6 servings

    Instructions:


    1. Make sure your turkey is completely defrosted.
    2. Remove giblets from turkey.
    3. Mix rub ingredients with avocado oil.
    4. Coat your turkey with this marinade.
    5. Place turkey in a bag and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
    6. Place turkey on a tray and let dry for 24 hours.
    7. Preheat oven to 350°F and cook for approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
    8. Let sit for 15 minutes before carving.
    9. Gobble it up!
